About

EAS is an open-source public good for making attestations onchain or offchain about anything. EAS is natively integrated into the OP Stack and used by OP, Gitcoin, Coinbase, and more for making attestations. Attestations are simply digital signatures on structured pieces of data used to build more trust online and onchain. Any time a structured piece of data that's signed by an entity would add value or build more trust in your product's interactions, attestations can play a role. These actions are typically akin to attesting (vouching, verifying, voting, authenticating, claiming, recording, certifying, confirming, declaring, saying, et.al). There are several dev tools available to help you build quickly and easily. We're proud that EAS is frequently complemented by ETHGlobal builders on our documentation and tooling. If you ever need help, just reach out!

Show the world how the Superchain can decentralize more than just money and assets. Build an impactful real-world use case that leverages attestations to bridge our onchain and offline worlds. The top three teams with the most impactful and pragmatic projects will be rewarded. Need some ideas? Think about real-world applications that transform outdated systems into transparent and trustworthy experiences. Move beyond simply transferring data from an SQL database to a blockchain. Solve real problems for real people by creating more trustful systems using attestations. Here are a few thought starters: Securely manage title registries for land, cars, or other assets to ensure clear ownership and accessibility. Build a privacy-preserving voting system for local polls, elections, or community decisions. Use attestations to authenticate luxury goods. Attest to the provenance of information and creator content, such as music rights or intellectual property. Create a digital notary service. Show how attestations and AI can work together to combat misinformation. Improve onchain commerce with attestations. Create new healthcare experiences with privacy-preserving attestations for medical records, prescription redemption, or other. Develop a supply chain solution that ensures the authenticity and origin of materials like organic cotton or food. The real-world use cases are endless. We're excited to see what you build.

Qualification Requirements

It must generate attestations using existing or new schemas. It’s a problem worth solving with blockchain that's better than existing systems and experiences. Use privacy-preserving tech when appropriate (zk proofs, offchain attestations, et.al). Use the EAS contracts on Base or Optimism.

We want to help builders build faster. The top three teams that develop the most impactful and practical developer tools for building on EAS will be rewarded. Need some ideas? Create a library of React components for making or displaying attestations. Develop tools for users to store and manage offchain attestations locally. Create templates or tutorials for common attestation use cases. Build an analytics dashboard for attestation usage, performance, and trends. Develop an AI agent trained on EAS to act as DevRel support. Improve the schema creation and coordination process. Generate zero-knowledge proofs from attestations. Create a developer playground integrating the API and other tooling with sample contracts. Develop a marketplace for attestation-related tools like document signing. Enhance compatibility between attestations and Farcaster Frames with a new library or tool.

Qualification Requirements

It must be a working developer tool upon submission. Clearly define the purpose and utility of your tool. Be passionate about helping other builders build.
