Mode is the DeFi layer 2 part of the Superchain. Built using the OP Stack, it ensures EVM compatibility, making it seamless for developers familiar with Ethereum. 👨‍🔬 Best DeFi innovation ⸺ $2,000

Up to 2 teams will receive $1,000

This prize aims to reward the best DeFi application and innovation. We are looking for devs that want to create and test new economic systems for users. Just a fork of something that already exists it's not enough, but valid if there are enough changes to the base code. We want original ideas that focus on the end user for good UX and a solid economic system behind it. Anything surrounding DeFi is valid, some examples of interesting things are: * LRTs/LSTs (liquid staking and restaking) * Yield generation * Points farming / looping * Loans * anything new and exciting!

Qualification Requirements

- There is no need to finish all the working code, but the main features need to be coded and working. In case the code is not 100% finished, there needs to be an explanation clearly showing that the project is technically possible to solve and the team has the capabilities to do so. - Innovation on the product needs to be there. Something new or a combination of existing concepts to create something that has not been implemented before. - The contracts need to be deployed on Mode testnet or mainnet. If the app is multchain, Mode needs to be included and should make sense to have Mode in the list.

🤖 Best AI & DeFi integration ⸺ $2,500

Up to 2 teams will receive $1,250

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to change a lot of industries, and at Mode we want to see creative uses of AI mixed with DeFi. This can be done in several ways and there are already a lot of teams working on products that would improve the user experience in DeFi with the help of AI. This prize will go to the projects that combine AI with DeFi in a way that makes sense and brings actual value to the end user. Even using an LLM or a chatbot could be interesting to see, if correctly built and if it changes the normal DeFi experience to improve it. In case there is only one good quality AI x DeFi project, we'll give both prizes to the same winner.

Qualification Requirements

- AI needs to be implemented as a key feature or improvement of the project. If the project integrates an AI API like the chatGPT one, there needs to be an added value to the project and the integration needs to make sense. - The AI implemented can also be integrated as a learning algorithm for your project. There are several ways to implement AI and machine learning into a project, we're open to options but it needs to make sense and hace a direct impact in the user experience. - The contracts need to be deployed on Mode testnet or mainnet. If the app is multchain, Mode needs to be included and should make sense to have Mode in the list.

🎨 Best UX/UI in DeFi ⸺ $500

At Mode, we really value user experience and we want to optimize the experience for users while interacting with DeFi. That is why we consider low fees, account abstraction, paymasters, and more, really necessary to create the best experiences. This prize aims to reward the best UX/UI focused on DeFi. We want to see a smooth working dapp that shows how to implement all the new technologies and standards developed in the past few years to create the ultimate user experience. We will evaluate things like: - Ease of Use: Ensure the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. - Visual Appeal: Assess the overall aesthetics, including color scheme and typography. - User Feedback: Check if the application provides clear feedback for user actions. - Consistency: Maintain a consistent design language throughout the application. - Number of Clicks: Amount of clicks a user needs to do in order to perform an action. If using your app feels like magic, then you're on the right track!

Qualification Requirements

- The evaluation will be performed on the developed app, no designs or figma are accepted for the final judging. If you want to show some designs we'll consider them for future development but the UX/UI analysis will be done on the coded app. - The app can be a web app or a mobile app, both are fine.
