Animated Umbrella is a cutting-edge gaming chain built via Conduit, a specialized gaming blockchain on Base Chain (L2). This project showcases the seamless integration of blockchain technology with interactive gaming, offering two exciting games: Dice Roll and Higher Lower.

How It's Made: Animated Umbrella

Animated Umbrella is a gaming project built on Conduit, a specialized blockchain that operates on the Base Chain (L2). Here’s a look at how we built it and the tools we used:

Technologies and Architecture

• Conduit Gaming Chain: We created our own gaming-focused blockchain, Conduit, which ensures games run smoothly with quick and secure transactions.

• Smart Contracts: The games, Dice Roll and Higher Lower, are powered by smart contracts written in Solidity. We used Chainlink VRF to make sure the dice rolls are random and fair. The Higher Lower game uses another tool, Pyth, for randomness.

• Token Bridges: We built bridges to allow tokens to move easily between Conduit and Base Chain. This lets players transfer their in-game tokens quickly and securely.

• Subgraph Integration: To keep everything up-to-date, we used subgraphs to index data from the smart contracts. This makes sure the game stats and player balances are always accurate and current.

• Thirdweb Wallet Connection: We used Thirdweb to make it easy for players to connect their wallets and interact with the games. This tool simplifies the process, so players can focus on playing without worrying about the technical details.

Notable Tweaks

• Custom Randomness Setup: We combined two tools, Chainlink and Pyth, to ensure our games are fair and unpredictable. This extra step adds more reliability to the randomness.

• Smart Contract Optimization: We carefully optimized our smart contracts to reduce costs and increase efficiency, ensuring a smooth experience even with high transaction volumes.
