BucketReel

The project is a decentralised web3 platform that enables users to log in via Reown's AppKit social authentication and upload multimedia content such as reels to Pinata, a decentralized storage network. Each uploaded file's IPFS hash, along with its location coordinates, is used to mint NFTs on the Hedera chain using HTS.

These NFTs serve as redeemable tokens for discounts on travel-related purchases from partnered agencies. As part of the platform's travel focus, users can save reels, which automatically adds the associated location’s coordinates and name to a personalised bucket list using HSCS. This bucket list helps users plan trips more efficiently and allows the platform to collaborate with travel agencies by sharing this data, enabling them to better target and market their services using HCS for analytics while ensuring user privacy.

This project seeks to combine social media engagement, decentralised content hosting, NFT utility, and travel service partnerships to create a seamless and privacy-centric travel planning experience.

The project is built using a mix of decentralized tech and web development tools. Here's how:

User Authentication - Reown AppKit: Users log in with social media via Reown AppKit, making onboarding simple without needing wallets.

Decentralised Storage - Pinata: Uploaded reels are stored on Pinata using IPFS, ensuring secure, decentralised storage.

NFT Minting - Hedera Hashgraph: Every reel upload mints an NFT on the eco-friendly Hedera network using the IPFS hash and location data. These NFTs give users discounts with travel partners.

Bucket List: When users save reels, the location gets added to their bucket list, which is shared with travel agencies while protecting privacy.

Frontend - React & Tailwind CSS: The interface is built with React for dynamic content and Tailwind CSS for responsive design.
