I've constructed a system that issues and redeems physical checks as part of a wallet, integrated with a thermal printer. This innovation expands the applicability of cryptocurrency within the DeFi platform, as the issued and printed tickets essentially embody real-world crypto: they can be physically transferred hand-to-hand and utilized by anyone as a form of payment.

Cryptocurrency possesses a significant utility in that it does not require a constant internet connection to receive value from others, as wallets can be created offline.

This project extends this concept by allowing you to manifest a portion of your value as a physically printed check. Any recipient of this check can then redeem it upon receipt.

Much like the traditional 'Traveler's Cheque,' which could represent a portion of your bank account, the 'DeFi Cheque' symbolizes a part of your crypto wallet and can be employed as a form of payment.

[●Deposits can be utilized by Defi]

This is future work, but I think deposits waiting for redeem can be staked to interested bearing tokens with sufficient liquidity for instant unstaking such as stETH, and unstaked upon redeem by redeemer, and generated interest can be used for public goods. Interests and it's handling operation should be controlled by multisig held by DAO with diverse members all over the world for decentralized public goods.

How it's Made

La chèque de Defi is structured around two key components:

The Issuing Component: This is utilized by those intending to make a payment. They access a deposit URL, then transfer the base token of a particular blockchain to a contract. This contract is only redeemable by an individual who is privy to a secret, which is used during the deposit of the base token. The secret, along with the redemption URL, is then printed out via a thermal printer.

The Redemption Component: This is used by recipients of the payment. A simple scan of the QR code printed on the paper allows them to redeem the transferred value.
