Project Description

This marketplace serves as a hub where data providers can list and offer their datasets for sale, while data consumers can explore and purchase the data that aligns with their needs. The project aims to bridge the gap between those who possess valuable data and those who require it, fostering collaboration and unlocking the potential of data-driven insights across industries.

How it's Made

In the realm of frontend development, Next.js emerged as our chosen framework, seamlessly weaving together user interactions and visual components. Meanwhile, for the intricate world of smart contracts, we harnessed Solidity, orchestrating the underpinnings of data transactions and exchanges. At the core of this intricate symphony was Lighthouse, an indispensable tool that served as our gateway to IPFS, not only facilitating secure data storage but also acting as a vigilant guardian by encrypting dataset files. Lighthouse further revealed its prowess by extending its capabilities to access control, authorizing the privileged eyes that could behold the contents within. Undoubtedly, Lighthouse felt akin to the missing puzzle piece within the expansive canvas of the web3 ecosystem.

While aspirations of incorporating a push chat feature were in motion, regrettably, the full realization of its core functionality eluded our grasp. Nevertheless, a creative solution emerged from the depths of ingenuity—admittedly considered 'hacky' in nature. Amid the labyrinthine codebase of packages, a custom function emerged, one that deftly enabled the uploading of multiple files through Lighthouse. This intricate dance with code proved fascinating, enthralling us with its intricacies.

Throughout this journey, an undeniable fervor ignited the flames of excitement. Every bug resolved, each technology conquered, it all coalesced into a profound sense of accomplishment. The process became not just a pursuit of building, but an expedition of learning, evolving, and carving our imprint on the ever-shifting landscape of technology.
