When tuning to a Twitch stream, streamers may often receive donation from their members as a sign of gratitude. The fun comes with the streamer is alerted on stream and depending on the content, the streamer may perform an act live on stream (eg. play a game with the donor...)

The current status quo only allows donors to donate via fiat. Often through paypal and/or credit card. Donation via these means are often susceptible to be refunded. In other words, streamer could have perform an act for potentially nothing and getting scammed.

Our solution aims to allow donors to donate via crypto. Crypto payment. is ultimately 'safer' for streamers as we do not allow donors to get a refund.

Also not all countries have the privilege of having access to Paypal. Crypto payment however, is unbounded by borders and is usable by everyone in the world!

Donation via crypto also allows for anonymous donation. Something that is not possible with the current centralized payment system.

Our project uses @dynamic as it allows us to quickly onboard web2 users to web3 as it allows for social login via multiple platform. Under the hood, all transaction are made gasless. Transactions are being sponsored by us however each donation will incur a small fee which covers for all operation cost. This allows user to have a seamless experience for user to donate without worrying about having to pay gas in native tokens.

ENS resolution is very important to us as we would want users to have as little friction as possible to donate to their favourite streamer. No one would be willing to type in 40 seemingly random character and having to double check before donating all the time. With ENS resolution, users will only need to look for "streamer123.eth" and be able to donate with just that. ENS allows for text records which we leverage to store information unique to each streamer. We created a new key in the text record to store for the description of each streamer to have a customisable onchain profile.

We have a smart contract that the donor will interact with to donate. And the events emitted from the "Donate" event will be captured by our running indexers. Our indexer will then trigger a notification to a specified streamer and the streamer will get alerted live on stream.

Leveraging on cheaper and faster chain is key as we would want the notification to appear as quick as possible to the streams live feed. Arbitrum, Optimism and Base are perfect candidate for us.

USDC is a perfect currency for us as it allows us to quickly onboard existing fiat users to crypto without worrying about the floating value of most cryptocurrencies
