Project Description
GrooveGraph fetches data from users' Spotify accounts, and imprints their favourite tracks/artists/genres onchain, effectively building a composable Music Identity layer.
Apart from signaling one's taste in music, this is useful as a building block for all sorts of music-oriented use cases. For example:
- Music NFT platforms can gatekeep minting NFTs or airdrops to users that have specific artist(s) or tracks on their top 10 lists
- Artists or other 3rd parties with the incentive to do so, can post bounties to be shared with anyone that has a specific artist or track in their top listens
How it's Made
GrooveGraph is built on top of the following technologies:
- Spotify API, to fetch data relevant to a user's Spotify account
- Web3Auth, to implement seamless social login and allow for smart wallet features like gas sponsoring
- Chainlink Functions, to trustlessly bring data onchain from Spotify API
- Sign Protocol, to store a user's music profile onchain, and make the data available to all, enabling composability across 3rd party apps
