Hyperlane Dashboard

Analysis of hyperlane message processing times: between Arbitrum, Optimism, and Ethereum.

Project Description

Hyperlane expressed interest in having an analytical dashboard looking at messaging processing times. I decided to implement this fully in Dune, given that Dune is widely used in the crypto analyst community and it's useful to share this data with other Dune wizards. Dune has data from some chains (Arb, Op, Eth, Polygon) but not others (Injective). Also, not all relevant smart contracts are yet fully indexed by dune. So this project is more of a POC. I used existing decoded v2 smart contracts and also got one additional v3 contract (Eth mailbox) onboarded as part of this hackathon.

How it's Made

I found that one v3 smart contract on arbitrum was already indexed but labelled "Bizarro". If the team decides to pursue the Dune route, I would make sure all contracts are labelled consistently and "officially". Since Dune is effectively also an IDE, the SQL code was developed right in the platform and not kept on Github. Inspect the SQL code by clicking on the title of any graph in the dashboard. The team expressed an interest in seeing dollar flows for the bridges. This would be feasible by using a DEX feed already indexed on Dune or bringing price data onto Dune. Since there are so few smart contracts on Dune right now, and someone else already did work on the TIA.n DEX, I decided not to replicate that.
