Project Description

Blockchain networks today often have problems with permissionless validation, ensuring secure decentralized validation, and seamless interoperability while avoiding centralization.

L3S is designed to provide efficient and shared security using liquid staking. By integrating technologies like Arbitrum Orbit Chain, Hyperlane, Blockscout, and Avail DA, L3S enhances blockchain networks. With L3S, users can lock their ETH to receive lETH, earning staking rewards while keeping their assets liquid. This also enables cross-chain transfers, making it easier to move assets between different blockchain networks.

L3S also supports the setup of secure validators, which are essential for maintaining network integrity and security. The project uses Avail DA to ensure smooth and reliable data accessibility across various blockchain networks, helping different Orbit chains integrate securely and efficiently. To keep validator costs low, L3S uses an algorithm that looks at the Total Value Locked (TVL) to the number of validators ratio. This ensures that chosen platforms are both cost-effective and secure. L3S prioritizes network security by using the BoLD protocol for dispute resolution and validation.

Scalability is a key feature of L3S, allowing new Orbit chains to join the consensus layer is a way beyond that. This process is streamlined with the Avail Data Availability (DA), ensuring smooth and efficient data sharing and accessibility. Blockscout is used within the L3S ecosystem to explore and verify blockchain data, helping users track transactions and monitor the overall health of the network.

How it's Made

We used Arbitrum Orbit Chain for the scalable and efficient layer-2 solutions, allowing for faster and cheaper transactions. Hyperlane facilitates cross-chain transfers, ensuring smooth and secure asset movement between different blockchain networks. Blockscout, our open-source blockchain explorer, provides transparency and insights into blockchain data, helping users track transactions and monitor network health. Avail DA ensures reliable and efficient data sharing across different blockchain networks, aiding the integration of various Orbit chains into our consensus layer.

We used Next.js to develop responsive user interfaces, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience. JavaScript and TypeScript were also used for frontend work, including interacting with blockchain APIs to manage data seamlessly.

For the backend, we used Solidity for smart contracts, and Go for its robustness and scalability, allowing us to handle complex processes efficiently. Additionally, Docker was implemented to ensure consistent development environments through containerization, making deployment and management of our services smooth.
