Tech Stack:

Solidity: We used Solidity, a high-level programming language specifically designed for writing smart contracts on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The legaltestation smart contract manages case data, fees, and user interactions.

Optimism Sepolia: legaltestation is deployed on the Optimism Sepolia testnet, a secure and scalable layer-2 blockchain built on Ethereum. This allows for fast and cost-effective development and testing before full mainnet deployment.

Sign Protocol: legaltestation integrates with Sign Protocol, an omni-chain attestation protocol. We leverage Sign Protocol's capabilities to create verifiable attestations for case details and verdicts. These attestations ensure the authenticity and immutability of critical case information.

Putting it Together:

Case Initiation: When a case is opened, relevant details like plaintiff, defendant, and case specifics are stored on the legaltestation smart contract. The filing fee is collected in cryptocurrency and securely held within the contract.

Evidence Submission: Users can submit evidence directly to the blockchain. This evidence becomes part of the permanent and immutable case record, eliminating the risk of tampering.

Case Progression Tracking: The smart contract tracks the case progress, allowing authorized parties to view the latest updates in real-time. This transparency fosters trust and reduces the need for manual information sharing.
