Project Description

Access to pro-level APIs from popular AI models like OpenAI is severely limited by discriminatory Web2 payment options, such as Stripe, which is only available in 48 countries.

This restriction disproportionately affects developers in developing regions, like Nigeria, where as much as 3 million developers struggle with payment limitations.

Additionally, the whole cost of some of the APIs, such as Claude's $20 per month fee, makes these services unaffordable for many, particularly in countries where this cost exceeds the minimum wage.

Even though some existing Web3 SaaS platforms offer partitioned access to some APIs. They lack verifiability in usage metrics and force users into rigid, non-customizable interfaces.

LinkProxy provides a decentralized, customizable, and verifiable middleware for accessing AI services with LINK tokens as a bypass to traditional payment systems and native gas fees. Making AI services truly verifiable, and more accessible to a global audience.

How it's Made

LinkProxy uses Chainlink's CCIP to enable secure cross-chain communication between Ethereum Sepolia and Base Sepolia networks for the hackathon demo

The system utilizes custom routers on Sepolia to send requests to a controller hub on Base Sepolia. To ensure message integrity before finality and mitigate waiting time, the Sign Protocol is employed for the attestation of cross-chain messages.

Sign's Protocol's ISHook calls the submit receipt function when an attestation is created, this ensures that tokens are deducted for services provided

Our live demo hosts Next.js API verifying these attestations by querying a CCIP's messageID to retrieve the emitted authorization key for GPT prompt requests.

After successful verification, the backend processes and returns the appropriate response.
