MedChain

We are implementing a robust blockchain solution to consolidate and secure patient health records, ensuring data integrity and privacy. This approach enhances healthcare efficiency and confidentiality, fostering trust among stakeholders while prioritizing patient well-being.

Project Description

This initiative integrates encrypted patient data within the Base blockchain, alongside corresponding patient records stored using the Filecoin protocol through Lighthouse. Our decentralized application (DApp) prioritizes patient empowerment by enabling individuals to securely manage their health data. Hospitals can seamlessly access this data when necessary, ensuring efficient and transparent healthcare delivery.

How it's Made

Patients access the frontend portal built with React for user authentication. Upon login, their data is processed and stored in a text file using JavaScript. The team has implemented an IPFS utilizing Filecoin for secure storage of patient data within a decentralized network. A hash is generated and sent to the Solidity code, producing a unique identifier used as a key to store patient data in a dictionary data structure. The Solidity code then broadcasts the Filecoin IPFS hash and unique identifier as a transaction to the Base Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain. In the upcoming version, patient consent management and data encryption are prioritized.

Doctors can access patient records after receiving permission. Using the unique identifier associated with each patient, physicians can add new medical data to the system.

We are a team a new hackers and worked very hard to produce these outputs.
