p/dash

p/dash is a forced-scroll action game built on PixeLAW, inspired by Geometry Dash. It focuses on creating fun and new experiences, choosing blockchain and PixeLAW as the means to achieve this. Users can create stages on-chain on PixeLAW and play the stages that have been created. Essentially, playing stages is done off-chain, while the state of the stage is handled on-chain. Since the play itself is off-chain, we aim to be as high-quality as existing web2 first. There are two main benefits to being able to create stages on PixeLAW: composability and interoperability. As for composability, users can not only create their own stages but also add entirely new objects and have a new experience of collaboratively creating stages in real-time. Moreover, there are endless possibilities for combining this with betting on whether a stage can be cleared or integrating with other applications. In terms of interoperability, situations can be envisioned where external circumstances impact the stage. Since the stages exist on PixeLAW, players can be obstructed by rewriting the pixels there. Alternatively, impacts might occur not directly but through gameplay in other games existing on PixeLAW, such as pixels from Conway's Game of Life moving randomly on PixeLAW. Thus, p/dash aims to be entertaining as a game and to pioneer new experiences that can only be achieved on the blockchain.

Overview

Our project is a lightweight WebGL game built with React and Phaser, aiming to enhance UX by delivering it to users as a PWA. The on-chain components are built with Starknet and the Dojo Framework, and this project functions as an application on the PixeLAW Protocol.
