Pepechain

Pepechain is an EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) layer 2 network built on top of Ethereum Mainnet. Rather than Ether, the native currency of the network is $PEPE. With PEPE's userbase exceeding 200,000+ holders, Pepechain fosters an ecosystem built around the meme, facilitating an intersection between existing and future cryptocurrency users.

With the heightened popularity of memes, Pepechain is meeting new users where they are. By offering low fees, fast transactions, and high throughput a range of applications are suitable to be hosted including Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), GameFi and more. This symbiotic relationship between mainstream appeal and a more optimal environment for users helps highlight the true potential of Ethereum for the masses.

Pepechain leverages Conduit for its Rollup as a Service to facilitate a Layer 2 network that uses a memecoin as its native currency. Conduit enables Pepechain to take advantage of the performance, reliability and security of the Optimism Stack which has been battle tested in production by the likes of Coinbase, Optimism itself and many other protocols. A faucet and Decentralized Exchange (Frenswap) have been paired with the network to exemplify its capabilities of using the memecoin, PEPE within its own ecosystem of DeFi. These were built with React and web3 libraries such as ethers. Hardhat also played a vital role in the deployment process as well as management of smart contracts.
