PiggyVest is an open-source widget that allows Africans to save better and earn yield.
We aim to help Africans hedge against hyperinflation by integrating Aave to provide an intuitive interface for saving and easily getting yield on USDT.
With PiggyVest, users can
- Convert their native currency to USDT
- Save easily with a simple interface
- Earn competitive interest
- Withdraw anytime!
PiggyVest integrates with the Aave lending pool to allow users to earn interest on their USDT savings. This demo is deployed on Goerli as we're still in the development stage
How it's Made
This project integrates seamlessly with the Aave Lending pool smart contract, providing a simple interface for Africans to save.
For the hackathon, we built the PiggyVest from scratch using Remix, React, and Aave protocol. PiggyVest is deployed on ETH Goerli as we're still in active development.
We intend to work on on-ramp and offramp next, to allow Nigerians convert their Naira to USDT. Once this is done, we'll support other African currencies.
