Project Description

Sliced creates decentralised purchasing groups, targeting a range of industries from electronics or cars to houses. The principle is straightforward: members decide on an item they all need and form a group. Each month, each member pays an instalment in a way that there is enough money in the pot to buy the item once. Sliced will run a lottery round and one lucky group member wins the item. This process is repeated each month during the duration of the group by all members until everyone has received their item. In the worst-case scenario, you'll obtain the item in the final month, which aligns with your savings timeline. However, in the best-case scenario, you'll obtain the item in the first month, just like taking out a loan but without all the associated hassle. Sliced combines unique approach to saving scheme in the group collaboration with Sybil resistant thanks to use of WorldCoin. Ensuring one person can only join the group once. In future giving the option to provide even more verification for the group as the idea is to have a system that represents RWA. It's more of a leasing scheme until the item is fully paid off. The participants enter the group in order to collaboratively purchase the good every month and using VRF decide who is the lucky participant that instead of waiting until last day of saving, can enjoy the item sooner.

How it's Made

We are using WorldCoin ID for proof of human. We're using Base(Sepolia) as the underlying EVM. We decided to use ERC 4907 which is built on top of ERC721 allowing the ownership to stay with legal owner, but allowing to open the NFT(we seeing it as RWA) to use under 'userOf()'. For the whole application we're using T3 stack.
