Project Description

I created a project to permanently store videos of your line of sight while walking as NFTs in IPFS storage.

The background to this project is that we can no longer go out freely due to the global spread of the virus, and we feel a sense of crisis about the disappearance of nature and daily life as we know it today due to climate change.

Humans have been walking for millions of years. It was only recently that vehicles such as cars and airplanes appeared, and walking, which is the most primitive and basic activity, releases dopamine and has a positive effect on the body. Even if a natural disaster destroys the ground and we have to live underground, or even if we end up living somewhere in the universe other than Earth, we need to be able to relive the daily life of walking and strolling in this world.

Beautiful landscapes are photographed by professionals or shared by ordinary people on social media, but there are few landscapes that you would see during an ordinary daily walk.

Now, in the world of Web 3.0, anyone can store data peer-to-peer and permanently access that data. And with this data, AI will be able to recreate this world someday.

In the near future, a completely recreated world, not a metaverse like the animations and movies we see today, will be possible only thanks to the vast amount of everyday scenes filmed by these ordinary people, even if only in fragments.

The time will come soon when we will not only be nostalgic about crumbling towns and changing times, but will be able to live in any place in any era recreated by AI.

By storing it as decentralized data on the blockchain, someone somewhere in the world, or people in the future, can relive that walk as if they had teleported, and live in the exact same world as we do now.

First of all, we need to have many human perspectives preserved. I thought of a way to motivate people who shoot videos and upload and store the data on the blockchain, and a way to promote usage. That means this app. By "staking" videos, people who shoot videos can earn rewards.

<What kind of data will be collected?>

  • Video data with latitude and longitude from the camera's GPS function

  • People's viewpoints when walking around town or in nature

<Who will use this data (current use cases)>

  • People undergoing rehabilitation in hospitals and nursing homes

  • Sports gyms

<Current functions>
  • Claim video NFTs

  • Stake the claimed video

  • You can receive rewards

<Future>
  • Using the data from the camera's GPS function, I want to place this video NFT on a map based on latitude and longitude data, making it easier for users to choose their favorite location

  • Also, it would be interesting if the AI could navigate based on latitude and longitude

  • I want to make it into an exercise mirror or an app that can be played in VR.

How it's Made

I built the ERC721 staking application using thirdweb's pre-built contracts, also built a frontend with Next.js. Using this app, a user can stake an ERC-721 NFT and earn ERC-20 tokens as a reward.

I designed this app using Figma.

Network is Sepolia testnet.

Code editor is VSCode.
